Project Information

Engineering design is underway on the 31st Avenue SE Reconstruction project, from Broadway to 13th Street SE. This project is scheduled to go through design and engineering services until late 2019. It would be bid out for construction shortly after design is complete, with a full season of construction happening in 2020.

The project is set to make improvements that will look and feel very similar to the improvements made to 37th Ave. SE a few years ago. There will be curb and gutter along the entire road, and storm water inlets will be installed. As well, water drainage will be improved throughout the corridor, intersections will be made ADA compliant and the walking path will be improved. The proposed road will be concrete, as this route is designated as an urban arterial roadway.

A public input meeting was held on Tuesday, January 15 to discuss the early design associated with the proposed improvements to the nearly one-mile stretch of 31st Avenue SE in Minot. The meeting was an opportunity for residents and business owners to provide input on proposed improvements to 31st Avenue SE itself, the walking path near the road, intersections along the route, water drainage in the area and how the project could be phased, in order to mitigate impact to the neighborhood.
