Current Focus: North Project
The City of Minot is advancing the North Project, which includes improvements to 16th St SW between Burdick Expressway and 2nd Ave SW.
Potential improvements being evaluated include:
- Reconstruction and lane configuration changes
- Concrete pavement repair
- Potential roundabouts at 5th Ave SW and 7th Ave SW
- Shared-use path construction
- New traffic signal at 2nd Ave SW
- Corridor-wide lighting improvements

South Project Completed
The South Project was completed in 2025 and included the reconstruction of 16th St SW from 14th Ave SW to Burdick Expressway, along with improvements to the Burdick Expressway intersection.
Status: Traffic fully reopened to the public on October 14, 2025.
